Last week I visited Barclays Bank in Huntingdon to meet with the manager and regional team to discuss their local operations.
We discussed branch closures and I received assurances that the branch will remain in place going forwards, essential given recent closures and the presence of Barclays banking hubs in St Ives and St Neots.
The Huntingdon branch will undergo refurbishment later this year which will bring it up to date with new telling machines.
It was also important to discuss support for small businesses as well as the measures in place to help protect vulnerable customers from exploitation.
My thanks to the team for taking the time to talk me through the work they do.
