Yesterday I was invited to be the speaker at the Great Ouse Valley Trust AGM in Hemingford Abbots.
There was much to discuss, from plans to self-designate the Ouse Valley as a “Natural Landscape” (An “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty” in old money), through to the challenges of increasing development, the Buckden by-pass and the current ongoing issue of plastic tree guards and failed tree-planting along the A14.
The Trust will again be holding their “WOW!” Event, Walk the Ouse Valley Way, on Sunday 12th July, to showcase the area and highlight its many assets. Do pencil it in to pop along and walk some of the route that winds through the constituency.
