It was great to pop into Huntingdon’s Commemoration Hall yesterday to have the chance to meet with the BID Huntingdon team and the architects from Mustard Studios who are looking at the regeneration project to bring Huntingdon’s boutique community cinema project to life.
The plans are ambitious but realistic and would see the old Cromwell Cinema restored and a chance to create something in the town centre, very different to the out-of-town multiplex experience we currently have at the Towerfields Leisure Park.
I’m a strong supporter of this initiative and it’s great to see the ambitions for the town centre take shape. I will push Huntingdonshire District Council to make the money available for this and other regeneration plans not only for Huntingdon Town Centre but also St Ives and the rest of the public realm across the constituency.
