Really important to spend time talking to Alconbury Parish Council regarding their concerns over the proposed development at Brampton Cross, particularly with regards to traffic coming into the site and the impact the current plans will have on the village.
It was also great to catch up with Charles Dalleywater and the Alconbury Brook Flood Group. The flood group too have concerns over Brampton Cross and have identified a number of mitigating initiatives that could be implemented.
Congratulations must also go to Charles for the recognition of his incredible work on the Flood Group, being awarded the Freeman of the Village of Alconbury.
I also had the opportunity to catchup with the Royal British Legion, Magpas Air Ambulance and Huntingdonshire Neighbourhood Watch, Wheatsheaf Brewery as well as finding out we have a brilliant new local gin distillery in Saragusta Spirits Co., based in Buckden. Having sampled a couple and purchased a bottle of their Silk Road Gin I look forward to finding time to visit James at the distillery soon.
