It was an honour to be invited to participate in the steel-signing ceremony for Alconbury Weald Church Academy. The ceremony marks the completion of the building’s foundations and primary superstructure.
Alconbury Weald Church Academy will be the new secondary school as part of the development, with the schools first entry starting next year in September 2027.
Alconbury Weald Church Academy will open as a 4-form entry (600-places) secondary school, with capacity within its core buildings, to expand to an 8-form entry (1,200 places) in the future in order to meet the demands of a growing community. The school will be run by Diocese of Ely Multi Academy Trust (DEMAT).
My thanks to Urban & Civic and Morgan Sindall for taking me round the site and giving me a look at this fantastic new school.
